Iron Infusion

Iron infusions are usually used to treat iron deficiency anaemia. This deficiency is typically treated with dietary changes and iron supplements, but in some cases, your GP might recommend iron infusions instead.

There are several symptoms that may occur in all types of anaemia such as tiredness, difficulty breathing, dizziness, headaches, and/or infections.

Women are more susceptible to iron deficiency than men, which can be due to heavy menstrual cycles or even postmenopausal symptoms or childbirth. Low iron can have an effect not just on your energy levels, but your mood and even your memory.

Book in with one of our friendly GP's to discuss if this treatment could be beneficial for you.
