Dr Pennie obtained her MD at the University of Queensland in 2019. She has worked at the Logan Hospital and Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital, where she gained experience in a number of fields before transitioning to working in general practice.

Outside of work, Pennie enjoys cooking, travelling, and sewing.
