Dr Mukul Modgil

MBBS

Mukul graduated from James Cook University in Townsville, where he developed an interest in rural and remote medicine. He has worked in both urban and rural settings, including Redcliffe and Winton, and completed extra training in cardiology and internal medicine in North Queensland.

He was drawn to general practice for its variety and the chance to build long-term relationships with patients. Teaching is a significant part of his work, whether mentoring junior doctors, explaining conditions to patients, or contributing to professional development in his community. His clinical interests include cardiovascular care, men's health, paediatrics, and chronic disease management, and he performs minor procedures such as skin excisions and biopsies. His patient-centred approach focuses on prevention, education, and shared decision-making to empower individuals in their healthcare.

Mukul speaks English, Hindi, and Punjabi, and connects with patients from diverse backgrounds. Now settled in the western suburbs with his family, he is committed to supporting the local community. Outside medicine he plays badminton and cricket and enjoys photography
