Repeat Prescriptions and Referrals
Our practice can provide quick and easy access to repeat prescriptions and referrals for a fee.
Repeat Prescriptions
NOTE: Repeat prescriptions for medications deemed addictive, such as opiates and benzodiazepines, are not provided through this service. This service is paid for privately and does not have a Medicare rebate.
This service is provided only to existing patients of Moggill Road Family Practice.
The issuing of repeat prescriptions will be entirely under the discretion of the practitioner and will only be considered for medications that have previously been approved and prescribed to you by this practice and are due for renewal. Requests will only be completed by your regular doctor at the clinic.
Approved prescriptions through this service can be collected from the clinic, or sent to your email address as a QR code. A fee of $20.00 applies to this service. Card details must be entered when making your request, however, it will only be charged once the script has been approved for renewal.
Before making a request for a repeat prescription, please have the following ready:
- Your previous prescription details (name of medication and dosage)
- Your credit card details for payment
Repeat Referrals
This service is provided only to existing patients of Moggill Road Family Practice.
Online repeat referrals are only suitable for referrals that have previously been provided to you within the last 12 months, and are due for renewal. Referrals cannot be backdated.
Upon receipt of your repeat referral request, your practitioner will review your request and confirm your eligibility within 3-4 business days. In some cases, you may be asked to come in for an appointment to ensure proper management of your healthcare.
Note: If you require an urgent referral renewal, you will need to book an appointment with your doctor. Urgent referral requests cannot be processed through this online service.
Approved repeat referrals can be collected from the clinic, sent as an email, or sent directly to the specialist. A fee of $20.00 applies to this service. You will be required to provide your credit card details to lodge your repeat referral request, however, your credit card will only be charged if and when the request is approved.
Before making a request for a repeat referral, please have the following ready:
- The name and address of the specialist you are needing the referral for
- Reason for the referral
- Your credit card details for payment
